When you get your software you will be prompted to setup the donation categories or funds you will need. Donarius^® comes with ones that most churches use but you may want to add your own. Then you should check the donor types to see it they are suitable for your church or organization.

You will now be ready to enter some donors and donations or import them from your current software. When you enter donations, you find each person and enter the amount they gave in the appropriate donation category or fund. You can find someone with an envelope number or their last name. You can enter how they made their donation (check, cash, credit card or pre-authorized debit). This shows up in the bank deposit.

Then you are ready to print some reports such as a list of donations by date or donor, receipts or quarterly statements. When you do a report you can choose which donors or donations you want in the report. For example, only donors that have certain characteristics or only donations made in a certain date range to the donation categories you are looking for. You also choose how you want the report formatted. For example, sort the donors by donor #, envelope #, the donation amount or the order in which you entered their donations. When you show donations, you can group them by day, week, month, quarter or year with the donation categories in rows, in columns or in the "middle of the page".
