Online Donations
(Requires the purchase of the Pre-authorized Deposits/Online Donations module)

If your organization accepts online giving by credit card or bank withdrawals you are probably using one of the companies listed below. To get those donations into Donarius®, then you need to import them. You first download a file with the donations from your online giving company's website. Save it to a CSV file.  If you don't have that as an option, save it as a spreadsheet (XLSX or XLS file), then open it and choose Save As to save it as a CSV file. You can import this file in 3 steps (click a link on the main window, select the file, click a button to import). Please note that when you open the file with Excel and save it, the format of the dates may change.  In that case, when importing, find the date column and select the correct date format at the bottom left.  If you need to edit a CSV file, open it with NotePad.

To have an online giving system that is automatically integrated with Donarius®, use NuverbPay, which has many advantages:
Accept credit card and ACH/EFT donations.
    Receive one-time and recurring donations.
    Save with our low rates.
Customize your donation page with a logo, your organization's name/address and the categories you want your donors to give to.

To find our more about NuverbPay and to sign up, on the main Donarius window, at the bottom left, click on NuverbPay.
You will first sign up for a merchant account. (There is no cost to apply and no monthly fees, except when someone donates.)
When it is approved we'll setup a donation webpage for you and another page where you can change the appearance of it.
You'll get an email explaining all the details.

Donarius® can import donations from these other companies: (in aphabetical order)

Bambora:
You first need to set it up so Donarius® knows you are using Bambora. Add Bambora as a new payment method. (Go to the Setup menu and choose Preferences...)
Then on the main window at the bottom left you will see a Bambora link to click on.  To import from a Bambora contribution file, click on the link, select the file, then click the Import button.

CashApp:
You first need to set it up so Donarius® knows you are using CashApp.  Add CashApp as a new payment method. (Go to the Setup menu and choose Preferences...)  You also need to create a category for the transaction fees.  The category must have the word Fee as part of the category name and it must be a hidden category. If you already have a fee category, create one called CashApp Fee
Then on the main window at the bottom left you will see a CashApp link to click on.  To import from a CashApp contribution file, click on the link, select the file, then click the Import button.

Since a CashApp contribution file does not have the category for each contribution, Donarius will use the first category, in the Organization setup window.  So move the category most often used so it is the first.  There is a note in the contribution file where a donor usually puts an explanation of where they want their contribution used.  So after importing you'll need to check the contributions, looking at the note and possibly moving the amount to a different category. A fast way to do this is to display a report of only CashApp contributions and click on one that you want to edit. Click on Reports, choose Donations by Date, then put a checkmark on Each donation for all donors.  Then click the Show ==> button and select only CashApp as the payment method.

Clover:
You first need to set it up so Donarius® knows you are using Clover.  Set it up similar to Tithe.ly creating a When item called Clover. (See the steps for Tithe.ly below.) Then on the main window at the bottom left you will see an Clover link to click on.  To import from a Clover contribution file, click on the link, select the file, then click the Import button.

EasyTithe:
You first need to set it up so Donarius® knows you are using EasyTithe.  Set it up similar to Tithe.ly creating a When item called EasyTithe.  (See the steps for Tithe.ly below.) Then on the main window at the bottom left you will see an EasyTithe link to click on.  To import from an EasyTithe contribution file, click on the link, select the file, then click the Import button.

EFT Canada:
There are two ways to use EFT Canada:
A) Process all transactions using their online portal, then on a regular basis, download a report of transactions and import them into Donarius.
You first need to set it up so Donarius® knows you are using EFT Canada.  Add EFT Canada as a new payment method. (Go to the Setup menu and choose Preferences...
Then on the main window at the bottom left you will see an EFT Canada link to click on.  To import from an EFT Canada transaction report file, click on the link, select the file, then click the Import button.

B) Setup recurring EFT Canada donations on their online portal.  You enter the first donation and the remaining ones are processed automatically.  In Donarius you set it up like a regular pre-authorized deposit. (see below)  They will also be added to Donarius automatically when Donarius is opened.

For one-time donations as requested by your donors, you would create a file of transactions then upload it to EFT Canada.  With their first donation, each donor would provide their banking information which is stored in an encrypted format in Donarius.  You first need to add a user to prevent unauthorized access to the software, by going to the Setup menu and choosing Users...
To enter the banking information for a donor, do this:
1. Click on Donors and choose Add/Edit Donors.
2. Find the donor.
3. Click on the Show Info ==> button.
4. At the bottom right enter the transit #, bank # and account#.
If you see dots for the bank info then it was already entered.
To change the banking info, delete one of the boxes, go to
another donor, then go back to the first donor.
5. Click the Save button.

Add EFT Canada as a new payment method. (Go to the Setup menu and choose Preferences...)   You also need to request an upload password from Nuverb Systems Inc.  Enter each donation, putting a checkmark on the EFT Canada payment method.  Use the current date or a future date.  When done, click on the Upload button near the EFT Canada button.  Type the upload password and press ENTER.  Transactions uploaded before 11:00 am EST, are processed the following business day, while those uploaded after 11:00 am EST are processed in two business days.  So indicate when you will be uploading the file, then pick a file location and name.  All the EFT Canada transactions you entered will be saved to the file.  After uploading the file, delete it, as an added security measure.

If files are sent to you, do steps #1 - #3 below, and put Vanco as part of the name then click Save.  Ignore the rest of the steps.  You also need to make the donation categories in Donarius match what you have on the Vanco website.  If they are numeric values on the Vanco website, change the category names in Donarius to have the numeric part in parentheses after the name. Also, on the Vanco website, check that the donor IDs for each person match the Donarius donor numbers.

If you are downloading a file from their website, setup Vanco as described above for Tithe.ly.

If you are using 2 or 3 types of online giving, each one will appear as links at the bottom left.
