We are partnering with Helcim Inc to help you receive online donations.
Their motto is "doing things right even when it's hard".
NuverbPay is now live and you are able to:
- Accept credit card and ACH/EFT donations.
- Receive one-time and recurring donations.
(monthly, weekly, 1st and 15th of the month, bi-weekly, etc.)
- After starting recurring donations, a donor can change the amount/frequency/date or even stop it entirely.
- Any credit card or bank account a donor uses will be saved so that next time they don't need to re-enter it.
- Save with our low fees:

These fees are based on an average donation of $100 and a monthly volume of $5K
(or less), using the weighted average cost of popular cards. Your costs may be different,
depending on how many of your donors use a card with higher rewards.

- Customize your donation page with a logo, your organization's name/address and

To sign up with us you have two options:
- If you don't currently use Donarius, fill in your organization's name/address here.
- If you already use Donarius, upgrade to the latest version of Donarius
then click on NuverbPay
on the main window and follow the instructions.
Then your browser will open to a merchant application with Helcim.
(Note: there is no cost to apply and no monthly fees.)
To apply, give your name, email address and pick a password.
The information you supplied will automatically be prefilled.
You'll need your organization's tax id and some other info.
When asked "What type of products and services do you provide?", choose
"Charitable and Social Service Organization - 8398" to get the above rates.
When your application is approved, this is what will happen:
- We will setup a donation page for you.
- We'll send you an email with a link to the donation page and another
link to a setup page which you can use to customize the donation page.
- You should customize the donation page by
- checking if the name/address is right,
- choosing a logo or image to display,
- choosing what categories you want your donors to be able to donate to,
(You should setup the category names in Donarius to match
these category names.)
- setting up the thank you emails for 1-time and recurring donations,
- setting up where the thank you emails come from.
(The first time you go to the setup page you'll need to provide your email
and pick a password to secure your account.)
- You will also have gotten another email with instructions on setting up
Donarius to integrate with the website. Follow those steps and upload
all the donor info to the website.
- Enter a small test donation and wait a few days to verify that it gets
deposited into your bank account, which you would have provided when
you applied for your account.
- Add a link to the donation page to your church's/organization's website.
- Tell your donors about the new system.
- When a donor donates for the first time, they will type their name and
email and be asked to either pick a password, use a 1-time code or both.
(This is to secure their account.)
- Later, when a donor donates again, they will provide their password or
enter a 1-time code.
- If a new donor wants to donate, they will need to provide their name,
email and full address.
- When anyone donates, they will have the option of using a credit card
or withdrawing from their bank account.
- Each donor will have the option of doing a 1-time donation or setting
up a recurring donation that will be withdrawn each month, week, etc.
- The amounts donated will be deposited into your bank account a few days
after the donation was made. The fee for the transactions will be withdrawn
from your account a few days after that.
- Whenever you start Donarius on your computer, it will check for any new
donors or donations and automatically download them. You can also check for
any new donors/donations by clicking on NuverbPay on the main window.
Note: 0.50% of the above fee percentage will be shared between Helcim Inc and Nuverb Systems Inc.
The remainder goes to the credit card company (i.e. Visa or MC). e.g. in Canada, of the 1.85% fee:
0.50% is shared between Helcim and Nuverb and 1.35% goes to the credit card company.
